Williamsburg Style at Vintage American Home – Oh the beautiful colors.

I think I have been to Williamsburg 13 times over the years!  I guess I fell in love with the place when I travelled there during college with the Villanova Band for a game with William and Mary.  What made that weekend even more special is that my boy friend somehow made his way to meet me there from his college – Virginia Military Institute.  Yes he hitch hiked!  I was impressed and ended up marrying him 35 years ago!

Williamsburg Style Paint colors – Vintage American Home

I fell in love with the charming and simple architecture.  The deep paint colors that cover all of the exteriors of the houses and the interior millwork have always been my favorites.  Williamsburg paint colors preceded any and all of the best of the Benjamin Moore colors used today.

Hardwood floors were always the style in Williamsburg even though most homeowners opted for wall to wall carpet in  their homes today.
