Sometimes I have to go back and see what I did in prior years. I get the decorations out and I can’t remember what goes where. First there is the testing of lights that are entwined in garlands which inevitable stop working after you get them up. Then you hand garlands and are left with one that is too long or too short for the remaining area! It is usually frustrating but when it is done it is worth the effort. I try to decorate early so there is time to appreciate it. I try to have everything done by the first Sunday in Advent and I always leave everything up until atleast the Feast of the Epiphany or the Baptism of the Lord which is the next Sunday.
